At Payper, we're passionate about sharing stories of great New Zealanders doing extraordinary things. Everything we do is with the goal of helping you secure positive news coverage. Whether it's a story on Seven Sharp, coverage on Radio New Zealand, a lifestyle piece in Kia Ora magazine, or specific industry coverage that you're after, we're here to help.
We have two offerings: On Demand for one-off stories you want to share with the world, and Ongoing for businesses who are in it for the long haul and want repeated news coverage.
Payper On Demand is our core service for pitching one-off news stories. Have a company announcement? Landed a major achievement? Secured a round of funding? This is for you.
Our pitch fee is a small set fee we charge to craft the story you want us to pitch to New Zealand's news media. This pitch fee includes:
1. 30 minute Strategy Call
2. Press Release
3. Pitch to Media
Then, we charge you success fees based on how much coverage we land you.
These are what keeps us accountable and working as hard as possible for you, to land you as much news coverage as possible.
Our success fees are a flat fee of $999 per story we land you in leading New Zealand media.
If you want ongoing news coverage and reach the holy grail of PR in becoming a trusted go-to media source to comment on all things in your industry, then Payper Ongoing is for you. It's our subscription service for organisations who want to level up their comms.
Our pricing is simple and transparent, and most importantly, it’s based on results. There's a small flat fee for us to craft your story and pitch it, and then you pay per the news coverage we land you. Use this tool to get a cost estimate based on news coverage.
Payper operates on a unique, results-based model. This means you pay more for the media coverage you get, not the effort we put in. It's transparent, fair, and ensures we're just as invested in your success as you are.
You pay for outcomes, not overheads. There’s a small flat fee to craft your story, then success fees based on the coverage we land.
If you have a great story to tell, probably! Our team have all worked as TV (and radio and print) journalists and have great connections with current reporters, so if we have a great story to pitch, and it's visual, we land them on TV all the time.

No. We partner with organisations we’re proud to back. If a story isn’t newsworthy or values don’t align, we won’t pitch it.
Short answer: we’re saving you time and reputation. If it’s not news, pushing it hurts you and us. We’ll tell you straight, reshape it if possible – or politely tell you your story is not strong enough to pitch to media.
Book a chat. We’ll map targets, angles, proof points, and timing. Then we craft a release and pitch the right journalists. We'll explain how it all works to you in simple terms and steer clear of the jargon and complicating other PR firms love to hide behind!
Our model is transparent and results‑based. Check out our On Demand and Ongoing offerings under "Services" for pricing. There's a small flat setup and strategy cost, and then success fees on top of that to ensure that we only win if you win.
No. Newsrooms choose what runs. We stack the odds with sharp angles, timing, and craft – but no promises. If someone guarantees PR, they're misleading you or selling ads. Our model is low-risk as it's results based... your success is our success!
You can. AI can draft a release. What it can’t do is earn trust, judgement, and relationships. We shape the story, timing, and pitch to get a human ‘yes’. We've been journalists and in the media industry for more than 20 years, AI is a great tool but it doesn't have the human connections we have.
